Tessina L Camera – different versions at a glance – “noiseless”, “noise reduced” and “default”

The Tessina is a “cigarettes-package-sized” 35mm camera manufactured in Switzerland. It was commonly used by the Stasi due to its size.

Normally the film is advanced via a clockwork spring/spring motor. In this Video you’ll get to hear and see the different Versions of this camera.

Tessina offered a default version which was pretty loud and a noise reduced with nylon gears (used by MfS/Stasi/Watergate…) and a total noiseless version without a spring motor.
